About the event
The World Water Week 2026 is one of the world’s leading platforms for dialogue and collaboration around global water challenges. Organized annually by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), the event brings together policymakers, researchers, utilities, businesses, innovators, and civil society to advance solutions for a more sustainable and resilient future.
Since 1991, World Water Week has created space for cross-sector collaboration on issues ranging from climate resilience and biodiversity to food security, technology, health, and sustainable development. Through expert-led sessions, partnership programmes, seminars, and global discussions, participants exchange knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and explore practical pathways for water action.
The event also hosts internationally recognized initiatives including the Stockholm Water Prize and Stockholm Junior Water Prize, reinforcing its role as a global meeting point for innovation, leadership, and progress in the water sector.
